An objective of State Water Corporation is to conduct its operations in compliance with the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development. This Environment Management Plan primarily focuses on the operations and management of assets owned and operated by State Water but recognises that broader environmental benefits will be achieved through cooperation among all stakeholders.

This is our inaugural Environment Management Plan and it identifies the environmental objectives, initiatives, strategies and targets for the next five years. We will report to our regulators annually on our performance against this plan.

State Water has recently completed an initial review of our Environmental Management Plan (EMP) as a requirement under our Operating Licence. The outcomes from the Initial Review were submitted to IPART on the 1 July 2007.

The EMP document below is the revised version of the EMP. This June 2007 version will be in place until 2011.
